Introduction?

one must wonder who came up with the idea of an introduction. no one likes them and surely, no one is really good at them. this blog is an attempt at connecting with an already connected world--nay, a frighteningly connected world. anyhow, i've fallen victim to the scheme of online journaling (blogging?) once before and decided i rather missed it.

anyway, i'm alex. a female alex with a short attention span. i'm content with staring at anything shiny or furry or especially cute and i dig most creatures. 21 years of age but i look 12. ok, roughly 14. i graphic design for a living (i know, this blog is not a good indication of my awesome talents and means, but hey, even mozart didn't start composing symphonies until he was 3) and i'm going to embark on a winter quarter in the place no one wants to be in the winter--boston. or bah-stan. or b-wa-ston. i like it dere though so hopefully the harsh new england winter will be gentle on my meek midwestern self.

christmas is upon us and one would never know it. seriously. thursday is the big day and i've got presents hidden away in plastic bags still--presents that need to be wrapped and loved and paid attention to. i'm a crap wrapper though, so i'll probably end up waiting until the end of time (e.g. christmas eve) to wrap them. isn't it odd that someone who claims to be creative borders on christmas present wrapping disabled? shame, really.

anyway, this break is what i've been needing. the past quarter was fulfilling schoolwise, but it hurt me socially and mentally. my bum has been glued to the precious couch and we've established quite the bond. we're even on a first name basis.

so this has been fun. and i think i've had enough of this awkward first post. au reviour (aardvark!) !
