new pup

this is the cutest most adorable trailer i've ever seen. notcot.org showed me the way to it, so i thought i'd show it off as well. it's for studio aka's new short film: "lost and found." penguin meets boy. boy ignores penguin. penguin follows boy. boy gets boat for penguin. entertainment ensues.

we've got a new pup. well we've got her on loan anyway until we decide if we're going to keep her or not. she's quite timid and her name is flower...kind of like the skunk from bambi. anyway, she's a 3 year old (3 tomorrow!) collie and she's got a black coat. apparently the only thing she isn't terrified of is the little orange cat we own, daphne (although i personally think she should have been named jezebel, but whatev). when daph trotted by, she barely blinked. but when our clock chimes 11 times to denote that it is indeed 11 o' clock, she spurts up and pricks up her otherwise tousled ears. or better yet, when one of us even MOVES, she restrains herself from having a full scale heart attack. we'll see how she pans out--she is adorable and sweet. it's just my father doesn't want a "wussy dog."

i ice-skated with kelley today. we had heart to hearts as we glided on rough red neck ice. the grooves in the skating rink were quite the obstacle. but it was a lot of fun and i'm glad to see her.

i'm supposed to be baking cookies today. we'll see how that goes. mmmhmm.
