yet another beautiful piece of animation. granted, it isn't quite a penguin and a little boy, but it's definitely breath taking. it's a music video for the song "anything you synthesize" by "the american dollar." the dutch studio onesize put it together and i must say i'm deeply moved by it. it's really just a landscape going through various cycles of day and night and winter and spring and all of the seasons. i think the simplicity of it is what makes it so incredible. anyway...you can see it here. it's positively brilliant!
so my days have been filled with lazing and hanging out with our incessantly terrified collie. i began reading the princess bride and i have to say it's making my days much more enjoyable. not that sleeping until 11am and hanging out with the affectionately dubbed flower isn't enjoyable...the princess bride just makes it that much more so. i know this is blasphemy, but i love how close the movie stuck to the book. i absolutely adore the satiric qualities and the fact that you're never really sure if it's all fictional or what. anyway, it's been making my otherwise grey days a full variety of colors.
so christmas eve is tomorrow. i'm sorry, but after a week and a half at home, i still don't really feel the christmas eve vibes. i've been doing christmas-y things and whatnot, but honestly, this year is lacking in festive quality. maybe i should just bake some cookies. bake some cookies and watch rudolph. rudolph always brings the christmas feeling back to me. yeah. i think i'll attempt to do that.
my cat has this tendency to meow really pathetically even though, secretly, i'm sure she's pure evil.
that is all.
