so i have a big honkin' girl crush on lenka, the blooming beautiful song siren from australia. julia and i were pandering about in davis square last weekend and walked into a quaint boutique of sorts, with a bouncy tune billowing through the store. i had to know who it was, but being me and doing things the extra difficult way, i wrote down one of the lyrics (instead of you know, asking the hipster cashier who it was) and looked it up. lo and behold i've found my new favorite songstress. so i thought i'd give whoever reads this a sample of the delightful songs she's responsible for.

she's got a regina spektor type of voice with a happier ring and simple lyrics. big fan. if you dig her too, you should invest in the whole album. it's golden.
